Experimental Astroparticle Physics at Chicago
Space is not only the final frontier, but also it is full of radiation. This is not limited to visible and infrared light from stellar and cosmological sources, but also energetic radiation consisting of every type of stable particle. Some of these particle energies reach to extreme values which are orders of magnitude larger than we can create with Earth-based accelerators. This site is aimed at the research efforts in Chicago focussed on measuring the properties and understanding the sources of these high energy radiations from space.
